What is it?

The Business Activity Statement (BAS) is a tax reporting requirement for businesses. It is used for reporting goods and services tax (GST), pay as you go (PAYG) withholding tax, PAYG instalments and other tax obligations.

The ATO issues you with a form on a monthly or quarterly basis on which you need to report your tax obligations.
